Itinerary

Machupicchu Full Day
  • Your journey begins early in the morning with transfer from your hotel in Cusco to the train station in Poroy or Ollantaytambo, depending on your departure schedule. From there, you will board a comfortable tourist train and travel through the breathtaking Sacred Valley of the Incas. As the train winds along the Urubamba River, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of towering Andean peaks, lush valleys, and small traditional villages that dot the landscape.
  • Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes—also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo—our staff will assist you in boarding the shuttle bus that ascends a scenic, winding road up the mountain to the entrance of Machu Picchu. With each curve, anticipation builds as the cloud forest opens to reveal one of the world’s most iconic archaeological sites.
  • Inside the citadel, you will enjoy a guided tour lasting approximately 2 to 2.5 hours. Accompanied by a professional guide, you’ll explore the Main Plaza, the Temple of the Sun, the Temple of the Three Windows, the Sacred Rock, and the impressive agricultural terraces that cascade down the mountainside. You will also visit key urban and ceremonial sectors while learning about the history of the Inca Empire, the scientific and architectural sophistication of its builders, and the rediscovery of Machu Picchu in 1911 by Hiram Bingham. Your guide will share the leading theories about the site’s purpose—whether as a royal estate, religious sanctuary, or strategic ceremonial center.
  • Throughout the visit, there will be time to take photographs and fully appreciate the extraordinary panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and deep valleys that make Machu Picchu such a magical and unforgettable destination.
  • After the guided exploration, you will descend by shuttle bus back to Aguas Calientes, where you’ll have free time to enjoy lunch (optional) or explore the charming town at your own pace. Later, you will board the return train to Ollantaytambo or Poroy, followed by transfer back to your hotel in Cusco, concluding a remarkable day immersed in the history and beauty of the Andes.
