Advance Payment Policy
At CAMS TRAVEL PERU, an advance payment (deposit) is required to formally confirm your booking. Because many services in Peru—such as Machu Picchu entrance tickets, Inca Trail permits, and train tickets—must be purchased well in advance and are strictly non-refundable under Peruvian regulations, this initial deposit ensures your itinerary is fully secured.
1. Initial Deposit Requirements
To guarantee your reservation, we require a minimum advance payment. The exact amount depends on the type of service requested:
Standard Tours & Packages: A 50% deposit of the total tour cost is required at the time of booking.
Inca Trail & Specialized Treks: Due to strict permit regulations by the Peruvian Ministry of Culture, a fixed, non-refundable deposit of [Insert Amount, e.g., $200 USD] per person is required.
Custom / Private Itineraries: Deposit amounts will be calculated on a case-by-case basis and outlined in your initial quote.
No booking is considered confirmed until the advance payment has been successfully received and cleared.
2. Accepted Payment Methods
We offer secure and convenient options for international and domestic travelers. You may complete your advance payment using any of the following methods:
| Payment Method | Details |
| Credit / Debit Cards | We accept major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) via our secure online payment link. |
| PayPal | Payments can be sent to our official PayPal business account. |
| Bank Wire Transfer | Direct transfers to our Peruvian bank account (BCP / Interbank). Recommended for larger group bookings. |
| Western Union / MoneyGram | Available upon request for international cash transfers. |
3. Transaction Fees and Taxes
Please note that all international transfer fees, credit card processing fees (typically around 4% to 5%), or bank charges associated with sending the advance payment are the responsibility of the client. The deposit amount quoted by our team must be received in full.
All our prices are quoted in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise specified.
4. Final Balance Payment
The remaining balance of your tour cost must be paid prior to the start of your services.
Payment Timeline: The final balance is typically due upon your arrival in Cusco, Peru. We require this payment at least 48 hours before your scheduled departure or tour start date.
Accepted Methods for Final Balance: You may pay the final balance in cash (US Dollars or Peruvian Soles) at our Cusco office, or via credit card (subject to applicable processing fees).
Note: If paying in cash, please ensure bills are free of tears, marks, or heavy wear, as local banks and exchange houses will not accept damaged currency.
5. Non-Refundability of Deposits
The advance payment is used immediately by our operations team to purchase personalized, non-transferable tickets and permits on your behalf. Therefore, all advance payments are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable to another person or future dates, regardless of the reason for cancellation (including illness, flight delays, or personal emergencies).
We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellations to protect your investment.
